Artifical Reef Project
Snorkeling right off the beach at Amertha is an exciting adventure! Pemuteran Beach is well known for its Reef Garden Project, which is revitalizing the dead coral that was destroyed through fish bombing, global warming and other issues. This “rebirthing” of the coral reef is being done through metal structures submerged in the ocean, which have a low passive electrical current running to them. This electricity motivates the growth of the coral, making it grow 5 times faster than normal. Since the success of this project, many new and different kinds of fish are returning to the reef to enjoy a safe and healthy eco system
